A 3-man crew set out to do a turn-around trip from Hawaii to LA.  The goal was to attend two events:  Encore and Wek’Fest.  ForjWorks was a sponsor of Encore.  We gave away our eyelids and camber kits as prizes to help raise money for JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation).  Unfortunately, we didn’t make it to Encore, but were able to visit Wek’Fest on a very tight schedule.

We arrived at LAX at 7am on Sunday morning.  The weather was perfect, cool 60 degrees and blue skies.  A little colders than what we’re used to in Hawaii, but we like it cool.  Wek’Fest started at 12pm that same day.  Right off the plane we stopped over at a relative’s house to freshen up, and went straight to the show.

If you’re not familiar with Wek’Fest here’s a quick breakdown. It started out in Nor Cal by WEKSOS Industries, it went from small shows and then expanded to a four stop tour for 2011 (California, Texas, Chicago and Hawaii). It was a different style of show and if you ever been to the Nor Cal show in 2011 it was held in a parking garage to have the Fast and Furious Tokyo Drift feel.

Wek’Fest LA was held in Long Beach at the Queen Marry.  The event was put on by WEKSOS and Fatlace. We arrived about 12pm we didn’t know what to expect.  The place was packed with people waiting in very long lines.

The quality of rides were unmatched.  We saw many magazine caliber rides.  Rides you see in Super Street, Import Tuner, and Modified Magazine.  We spent hours just taking all the pictures we could, but we still didn’t capture all the cars that were there.  So enough with all the blah blah blah and on with the photos.
